The practice story so farWashington Street Medical Centre is a city centre GP surgery in Cork offering all your health needs in a friendly, approachable and professional environment. The practice was originally based on Grand Parade and founders Dr. Derek O' Connell and Dr. Louise Nestor re-located to the purpose designed Washington Street Medical Centre in 2008.
In 2017 we said farewell to Dr. O Connell as he retired and Dr. Phil Kieran took over as partner with Dr. Nestor. In early 2020 we welcomed a new partner to the practice when Dr. Colm Murphy joined us amalgamating his father, Dr. Con Murphy's Mardyke Street practice with WSMC. We can facilitate all your health care needs including travel vaccination and family medicine. We also offer a fully accredited yellow fever vaccination service. As a Cork city centre GP practice we are ideally situated for those working in the city. The surgery is approximately a 10 minute walk from the front gate of UCC. We are also taking part in the under 6s GP visit card scheme. Winter Respiratory Clinic Notice
